Good afternoon, I am looking for information regarding the 2009 and 2010 results on the evaporative cooiling rebate success. Are there any reports showing amount of rebates applied for and received. Any information broken out by brand names? Where would I look for this information?

good luck getting any rebates out of these incompetants. notice they (customer rebate specialists)
don’t even have their own phone number.. i sent in my paperwork 3 months ago and am still
getting the runaround!! don’t believe their rebate BS. they will make your life miserable jumping thru
hoops.

Hi Tom, I believe the current rebate program with Xcel Energy does not include whole house fans. I would recommend you contact Xcel directly for more specific information. Try one of the links earlier in the thread for contact information.

Are whole house fans included in any rebate programs, and if not, why? I can avoid using my AC at least 50% if I install a good whole house fan.

Hi Roger, I believe the Xcel rebate only applies toward the installation of a qualifying new furnace or water heater. The crawlspace encapsulation MAY qualify for the Federal Energy Efficient Tax Credit. Carolyn, the current program only lists the 2010 eligibility dates. I would recommend you contact Xcel directly regarding your 2008 replacement.
