Is Staging Just a Trend?

Denver Home Staging
Will home staging follow the way of the mullet, acid wash jeans, and pet rocks? Here today, gone tomorrow?
I believe staging is here to stay for the same reason you would get your car washed before selling it, or take a shower before going out on a date. It just makes sense to present you, your car, or your home, in the best possible condition. Think of staging as property enhancement. When would it ever go out of style to enhance a property to its best potential, resulting in quicker sales, often for more money?
Staging has been around a lot longer than most people think. But, it has certainly become more common since its introduction to the public via HGTV. Builders have been furnishing their model homes for years, and the staging of a resale home is using that same premise. Allow buyers to see the potential of a home. One result of the increased popularity of home staging is that sellers today are savvier than ever before. There are now many tools out there, staging included, which will help them sell their homes.
If staging is a trend, then I guess making money is a trend, because time has proven the two go hand in hand.

More than ever it’s a price war and a beauty contest!!!
That’s a great way of putting it!
Allison, thanks for stopping by and for your input! I believe staging is more important than ever, and if the game of Monopoly taught us anything, it’s that finishing 2nd in a Beauty contest isn’t worth much
